Joyce, Pat, and Hilary

These three sisters get together once a year for a girls' week. I was privileged to be their photographer this year. During the shoot, we did nothing but laugh (and I snapped pictures). Thank you, ladies, for letting me be your photographer! It was fun! :)

Joyce made these. Aren't they cute?!

Brittany

I was so excited when my friend agreed for me to photograph her! Brittany and I have been close friends for 12 years, and were next door neighbors for the first 10. :) It was so much fun photographing her!

Hello, whoever you might be, reading this post right now! I'm glad you stopped by to check out my photography/doula blog. :) I am a photographer and doula in the Cary/Apex area of North Carolina. While I improve my skills, my photography services are free (so I can practice on you) and my doula services are $100. If you might be interested in either service, please contact me at: d.wilson@officeliveusers.com

Please keep checking back to see samples of my photography and for more information.

I would love to hear from you!

Satisfied in Christ,

Shepherd's Theological Seminary Graduation

Friday night was my church's seminary graduation! One of my friends, a pastor in Asheboro, graduated also. We are so proud of you, Mr. G!

Tornado-ed Wedding

Occasionally, I am asked to help cater with a catering team at my church. Well, this time it was for a wedding. All was proceeding normally, when the power went out. Then it started "raining cats and dogs" and the wind picked up. As I was carrying an empty tray from the cafe to the kitchen to be refilled, I heard the kitchen staff whispering about a tornado spotted on Holly Springs Rd (one of the streets that my church borders). I had never experienced a tornado before, so became a little tense. I have accepted Jesus as my Savior, so I knew that if anything happened to me, that I would go to be with Him, but I was nervous about the unknown. Slightly anxious yet trying to appear calm, we found someone with a resonant, deep voice to announce to the wedding guests that they needed to find shelter. The guests walked off, looking for an area without windows, while the kitchen staff and I went into the concrete kitchen without windows. We waited. At one point, I'm sure we heard a far off freight train, and at all times we could tell exactly where the tornado was, but praise God, we were left untouched. The tornado didn't come near us. His hand was upon us. Matthew 19: 20-31 "Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows."

Anyway, I took some pictures of the wedding decorations, and I thought you'd like to see them!

I can't resist a cute, little dreamer! Especially if he has a costume to go with it! :)
